Working one-on-one with students in the San Francisco Bay Area for over five years
I offer individual tutoring to high school and advanced middle school students preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, SSAT, HSPT, and other exams considered by admissions at top universities and high schools.
My lessons are individually tailored, based on each student's abilities and attitude. Unlike other services that use the same book for every student, I use a variety of books from different publishers. I can match each student with a book that will build on his or her strengths. Combining well-matched texts with my own general stategies and time-tested techniques, I prepare students both academically and psychologically for these keystone exams.

In addition to standardized and placement test preparation, I also work with students to improve grades and prepare for tests in academic content areas.
I have worked with students to improve scores in math, chemistry, physics, history (US and European), psychology, sociology, and music ethnography.

Rates and SchedulingStandardized Test Preparation: Lessons are 90 minutes (1.5 hours), minimum of three lessons Subject and Content Tutoring: Range from one to three hours, depending on need and content area I am available weekends and evenings in order to accomodate your busy schedule Base rate is $50/hour, plus $10 per lesson for students in Marin, Alemeda, or Santa Clara counties |
